ARRILASER Advanced user training in Munich

The training was addressed to people who already work with the ARRILASER film recorder. The purpose of the training was to address the questions that have come up for operators when using the ARRILASER. We wanted to give our ARRILASER customers some usage hints and showed them how work can be done more effectively, while presenting some special work examples. During the training we were focused on giving our ARRILASER clients a deeper look into the ARRILASER working procedures and, more than that, presented some exiting news. Attendees also appreciated the opportunity to exchange their opinions and problems with other users. For ARRI it is the best way to collect user feedback, which will always be taken into account for our future development work.

Last but not least we didn't want to miss providing you with some quotes we collected from the participants of this last training session:

Iouri Iliokhine
Classica Film, Moskow:

This was the second time in a row that I participated the Advanced User Training at Arri in Munich. Around twelve people attended this session. Sibylle Maier showed us the new product developments and answered many of our questions which we collected during the year. We went through many examples, which are very helpful for our work in the future! I would like to see more trainings in the future, because it is very important from the working side and for communication! Thank YOU Sibylle and ARRI for giving us this good opportunity!

Anders Marker
Shortcut, Copenhagen:

The advanced user training was very good. Both for the more advanced users
and the less advanced users. It was good to get down into the very heart of
the ARRILASER, see and hear how the machine works as a whole. I had a great
time and learned a lot in the two days I was there. It was great to get
answers to most of my questions.

Chris Swinbanks
Supervisor, Digital Film Bureau
Animal Logic Film, Sydney:

I found the Advanced User Training course well rounded in relation to the information presented, and it offered the opportunity to engage further discussion on technical issues that had arisen over the past, a number of which I found were shared by other participants in the course. Developing a personal interaction between the development/service team and ourselves improves our ability to remedy technical problems quickly, and allows direct comment on potential improvements to the system or service needs. I think the course will further our capability to meet the demands of clients more efficiently, by enhancing our understanding of the ARRILASER system.

David Pfluger
Swiss Effects, Zürich:

The ARRILASER advanced user training gave me the chance to take a closer look at the functionality and structure of the ARRILASER. Now I feel more secure in handling the machine and it is much easier for me to analyse and consider problems from all sides. The training also motivated me explore all possibilities the system offers, like black and white and shooting interpositive. The information we received in terms of updates and ad on´s to the ARRILASER system, like the Color Management System (CSM, for further information please click here ) or the Aquamat (for further information please click here ), have been very interesting for us users and gave us the possibility to estimate more specificly, what kind of future investments would be appropriate for our typical applications. The part where we talked about "Camille (internal software)" couldn´t have been designed more compact. Many options were explained in detail and make it much easier for the user.
