ARRILASER Test Tool "AQUAMAT"

It sounds like a dishwasher or
a new brand of mineral water, but the "AQUAMAT”
is a trusted tool that ARRILASER service engineers
have used worldwide to service the ARRILASER. ARRI
now makes this tool available for sale (order number
D3.11526.0).

The AQUAMAT is an automated image
analysis system for 35 mm film recorded on the ARRILASER.
It consists of Windows software and a Minolta 4800
dpi slide scanner. Test images that have been recorded
by the ARRILASER are scanned and analyzed, measuring
static ARRILASER Image quality parameters like geometry,
photometry, MTF, flare, gamma, and shading.
Based on those results, the AQUAMAT recalculates
compensation parameters for the ARRILASER, thus
speeding up service and reducing machine downtime.
Statistic functions are used to track the performance
of an ARRILASER over time.
